Manchester Football Association is seeking to recruit a Social Inclusion Coordinator for football to implement a strategic community development programme that will use football as a tool to build a better future.
This project has 2 main aims:
- To coordinate and support existing projects in Greater Manchester with a Social Inclusion theme.
- To identify gaps in provision and provide opportunities by targeting deprived and hard to reach communities that sit outside of existing Social Inclusion projects.
Specific areas of work will include:
- Club Development
- Provision of Competitive Opportunities and Player Pathways
- Football in Education
- Workforce Development
- Health
- Race Equality & Social inclusion
To apply you need to be of graduate calibre and have significant experience in sports development working with challenging young people and adults within community settings. You need to be passionate about and committed to the development of football at a local level.
Based at Manchester FA’s headquarters at the Salford Sports Village, candidates should have excellent interpersonal, presentation, administrative, communication and computer literacy skills and have the ability to influence at all levels, establish partnerships and manage finances associated with projects. You need to have a current driving licence and be able to work evenings and weekends.
