WSF NE group awarded Roger Hobson Governing Body of Sport Award
Sunday 6th February 2005
The WSF NE group was awarded the Roger Hobson Governing Body of Sport Award at the 2004 NE Sports Awards ceremony on Sun 6 Feb 2005 for the positive impact the group has had on sport in the NE. At the same event, Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson, a WSF patron and active member of the NE group, was awarded Disabled Sports Person of the Year.

WSF NE group AGM
The WSF NE AGM was held on Wednesday 24 November 2004 at South End House, South End Road, Durham. The meeting started with a buffet lunch, dealt briefly with business matters, moved onto a presentation by Allison Curbishley about media coverage of women's sport and concluded with a discussion about what we can do to increase and improve media coverage of women working and participating in sport.
