WSF NW Seminar and AGM
It's that time in the calendar again as we seek to review what has gone before and prepare to launch into the coming year.
Women's Sports Foundation North West (WSF NW) is hosting its Annual Seminar and AGM on Sunday 22nd September at the Manchester Aquatics Centre, Booth Street and anyone involved in sport or with an interest in supporting women and girls in sport and physical activity is encouraged to attend.
As well as a range of key speakers, including Paralympian Sarah Bailey, it is your opportunity to share practice and raise any key issues/areas of support required.

Cheshire Female Footballers Lead The Way!
Crewe Ladies FC has won promotion to the FA Nationwide Women's Premier League Northern Division after a successful season that saw them win the Midlands Combination League. This makes it the third Cheshire side to play in the National Premier League with Crewe accompanying the likes of Stockport and Tranmere next season.
England's best known Futsal Club, Tranmere Victoria, saw their women's team follow in the footsteps of the men's team by lifting the Dynamic EuroCup in Hasselt, Belgium at the end of April.

ECB and FA Raise the Profile with Style
We all know how difficult it is to effectively promote what we are doing and to find quality images to use to market opportunities for women & girls. The English Cricket Board (ECB) and Football Association (FA) are doing their bit by promoting their respective games with a series of professionally designed posters.
Further details on the posters, which can be downloaded via
If you have a marketing campaign, however simple, for promoting opportunities for women and girls that you would be willing to share then please let Sarah Pickford know via

Tell us about it...
The Women's Sports Foundation North West (WSF NW) is eager to identify, acknowledge and promote examples of current practice that 'attracts, engages, retains and deploys women and girls in sport and physical activity'.
In order to do this we first need to know what these opportunities are and where they are being offered, so please tell us about it!
