European Women of Achievement Awards 2004

These awards aim to raise public awareness of the increasingly important contribution of women to pan-European understanding and progress. They seek to reward outstanding achievement and inspire others by example. This year, for the first time, there is a category for women working and achieving in the field of sport or recreation.

The awards are for women with an outstanding achievement in their chosen field that must have a significant European dimension. The judges will be looking for achievement where the individual has been a pioneer or instigator of success.

Sport is so rarely recognised within awards like these and in order to ensure that the sports category continues and that our sports women, leaders and administrators are recognised, we urge you to submit nominations to this category.

The closing date for nominations is 22nd March.
