Women into Coaching - London

Groundbreaking initiative provides new and exciting opportunities for women in London.

Women’s Sports Foundation (WSF) in collaboration with the European Social Fund (ESF) recently launched a groundbreaking coaching project for women in London.The project will provide over 75 women with the skills and training necessary to advance into sports coaching an leadership positions.

Delivered by the WSF, the project is fully funded by the ESF and targets women of all ages, backgrounds, sporting abilities and experience.

The project offers coaching qualifications in:

Rugby Union
Football
Gymnastics
Swimming
Level I Award in Community Sports Leadership

There are also a number of generic sports courses, workshops and seminars available, some of which will be compulsory for successful completion of the programme.

There is no charge to participants and travel and childcare costs will be covered by ESF. However, beneficiaries will need to devote time and effort in order to successfully complete the programme.

Closing date for the first round of applications is 23 May 2005 and we advise that applications are submitted as soon as possible as spaces are limited. All candidates will undergo a selection process to ensure eligibility.
