Tanni Grey Thompson, in her preparations for the Athens Paralympics, has broken the World record in the 200m T53 class and in the 800m athletics events.

Nicola Gaultier and Jackie Davies have cemented their position as the world's fastest starting women's bobsleigh team by winning the World Pushstart Championships in Germany.

Nicole Cooke has shown that she has recovered fully from recent keyholesurgery during her comeback for the road cycling events in Athens. She decimated the field in the prestigious women's Giro d'Italia and will start favourite for the Gold medal in August.
