WellChild - Our designated charity

WellChild's mission is to get sick children better.

Our work spreads across the whole spectrum of childhood health issues and we aim to find ways to prevent childhood disease and illness, to improve the treatment and care of sick children and to provide support for their families.

Since 1977, WellChild has been responsible for improving the treatment and care of thousands of children suffering from a range of illnesses and conditions. We currently have a programme of child-research projects in fields as diverse as liver disease, cystic fibrosis, cancer and diabetes, amongst others. Through our team of WellChild Children's Nurses, we provide practical support for the families of chronically sick children living at home, while we provide information to children, their parents or carers through our new child health Helpline 0845 1228636.

Sportsmatch

Sportsmatch is a government funded scheme set up to help fund grass roots and community sports in England. We do this by matching new sponsorship money with Sportsmatch funding, on a pound for pound basis.

Applications to Sportsmatch for funding can be made from any not-for-profit organisation capable of delivering community sport. It is directed at projects which aim to increase participation in sport at grass roots level, and/or improve basic skills.

Hertfordshire Sports Partnership

Hertfordshire Sports Partnership (HSP) is the 'voice of sport' in Hertfordshire. Primarily funded by Sport England, it is an umbrella association representing a wide range of organisations, clubs and people with an interest in sport and the development of a sustainable sporting infrastructure.

The Cycle London Promotion Partnership (CLPP)

CLPP comprises of Transport for London, London Cycling Campaign, CTC, Sustrans and www.LondonCycleSport.com working with the London Good Going Campaign to promote cycling for all.


The Cycle London Promotion Partnership was formed by TfL in 2005 to bring cycling partners together to work on how best to encourage, support and promote cycling in London. The CLPP Community Grants Scheme was launched with the aim of offering active support to enable groups to get their communities cycling. British Cycling

British Cycling is the internationally recognised governing body of cycling in the UK. We work at every level in Cycling; from the multi-medal winning GB Cycling Team, to youth coaching with go-ride, and leisure cycling. Cycling is a fantastic activity that anyone can participate in; at any age, any ability, alone, with family or friends. The WSF Pedal in The Park event provides the opportunity for hundreds of individuals to get back on a bike, enjoy the great outdoors, get fit and importantly support Charity of your choice. Lee Valley Regional Park

From Ware in Hertfordshire to the Thames at East India Dock Basin, the Lee Valley Regional Park provides leisure activities, which suit all ages and tastes.
